Dispensing
As a dispensing practice we are able to offer dispensing to patients living more than one mile from a pharmacy. We offer dispensing at both Churchfield and Sandsend surgeries. Please inform reception/dispensary of your preferred collection place.
Ordering repeat prescriptions
Only repeat prescriptions specified on the green slip attached to your previous prescription can be ordered from our dispensary. Requests for all other prescriptions must be directed to your GP.
Details of repeat prescribing is computerised, it will help our staff enormously if you can quote your reference number (found on the green slip attached to your prescription) when you order.
If you require a repeat prescription please allow 96 hours notice.
There are a number of ways to order repeat medications but we prefer written or electronic requests using the app as this is the fastest and most accurate method.
Online
You can order your repeat medication online at any time – you will need to be registered for online service such as Patient access or the NHS app. Find out more about the Patient Access service here or please ask our staff, who will be happy to help set this up for you.
In person
You can hand in your request at Sleights or Sandsend.
Request slip
The right hand side of your prescription is a request form for repeat medication. Tick the boxes next to the items you require and post in the prescription box in the entrance lobby at Sleights or hand it in to a receptionist at Sleights or Sandsend.
By telephone
You can also order your prescriptions by telephone. You can do this by calling Sleights Surgery on 01947 811500. We discourage you to order your prescriptions over the telephone as it increases potential errors and practice workload.
By post
Your prescription should be posted to one of the surgery addresses.
