We use a number of highly qualified locums to support the practice to cover for annual leave and training absences.

Registrar

We are a GP training practice who hosts a registrar for a period of normally six months at a time. Registrars are fully qualified and registered doctors who are undertaking further training to become GPs. They hold surgeries at the practice and have supervision and support from our GPs.

Bryony specialises in frailty and elderly care. 

The nurse practitioners currently work between both of our surgeries.

Monday: 9.00am–11.30am and 3.00pm–5.30pm
Tuesday: 9.00am–12.00pm and 3.00pm–5.00pm
Wednesday: 9.00am–11.30am and 3.00pm–5.00pm
Thursday: 9:00am–2.30pm
Friday: 9.00am–11.30am and 3.00pm–5.00pm

The prescribing nurse practitioners can diagnose and treat most minor illnesses.

The nurse practitioners can diagnose, prescribe and refer patients. These are some of the conditions they can treat, please note they are not restricted to these.

Our healthcare assistants provide a range of services to assist the doctors and the practice nurses. These include:

  • Blood tests
  • ECGs
  • Smoking cessation
  • New patient health checks
  • Memory tests
  • INR
  • Ear syringing (only certain healthcare assistants can perform this)
  • Wound care

While all our HCAs provide a range of services, each member of the team has developed specialist skills so please be advised by the receptionist when making an appointment. Appointments available at both surgeries Monday to Friday.
